International Skilled Worker Category


This category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. 

1.  Employment Offer

Eligibility:

●  Full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in a skilled occupation (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).

●  At least one year of paid work experience in the past ten years in the intended occupation.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher.

●  Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.

2.  Occupations In-Demand

Eligibility:

●  No job offer required.

●  At least one year of work experience in the past ten years in an occupation not on the Excluded Occupation List.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher.

●  Post-secondary education, training, or apprenticeship comparable to the Canadian education system.

●  Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.

3.  Saskatchewan Express Entry

Eligibility:

●  Active Express Entry profile.

●  Meet the criteria of one of the federal economic immigration programs.

●  At least one year of work experience in the past ten years in an occupation not on the Excluded Occupation List.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 7 or higher.

●  Post-secondary education, training, or apprenticeship comparable to the Canadian education system.

●  Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.

Saskatchewan Experience Category


This category is for foreign nationals who are currently working and living in Saskatchewan. 

1.  Existing Work Permit

Eligibility:

●  At least six months of full-time work experience in Saskatchewan.

●  Full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.

●  Valid work permit.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher.

2.  Health Professionals

Eligibility:

●  At least six months of full-time work experience in Saskatchewan in a health-related occupation.

●  Full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan health employer.

●  Valid work permit.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher.

3.  Hospitality Sector Project

Eligibility:

●  At least six months of full-time work experience in Saskatchewan in an eligible hospitality occupation.

●  Full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan hospitality employer.

●  Valid work permit.

4.  Long-Haul Truck Driver Project

Eligibility:

●  At least six months of full-time work experience in Saskatchewan as a long-haul truck driver.

●  Full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan trucking firm.

●  Valid Class 1A driver’s license.

●  Valid work permit.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher.

5.  Students

Eligibility:

●  Graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.

●  At least six months of full-time work experience in Saskatchewan.

●  Full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.

●  Valid post-graduation work permit.

●  Language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher.

Entrepreneur and Farm Category


1.  Entrepreneur Stream

Eligibility:

●  Minimum net worth of CAD $500,000.

●  Minimum investment of CAD $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon, or CAD $200,000 in other Saskatchewan communities.

●  At least three years of relevant business management or entrepreneurial experience.

●  Create or acquire a business in Saskatchewan and actively manage it.

●  Create at least two employment opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents if the business is located in Regina or Saskatoon.

2.  Farm Owner and Operator Stream

Eligibility:

●  Minimum net worth of CAD $500,000.

●  Deposit of CAD $75,000 in a trust account.

●  At least three years of experience in farm ownership, farm management, or practical farming experience.

●  Propose a commercial farming opportunity in Saskatchewan.

Application Process


1.  Determine Eligibility: Review the criteria for the desired SINP stream.

2.  Submit Expression of Interest (EOI): For certain streams, create an EOI profile through the SINP online system.

3.  Receive Invitation to Apply (ITA): If selected, receive an ITA to submit a complete application.

4.  Submit Application: Provide all required documentation and pay the application fee.

5.  Assessment: The SINP will assess your application.

6.  Nomination: If approved, receive a provincial nomination certificate.

7.  Apply for Permanent Residence: Submit a federal application for permanent residence to IRCC within 6 months of nomination.
